What is the Best Natural Pre-Workout Drink?

Hitting the gym to get that summer body in shape is the perfect goal, but coupled with the heat and that bout of summer laziness you can just never find the energy to go for a workout or even complete your workout.

If that’s the case, then an all-natural pre-workout drink is your best friend. Other types of pre-workout supplements are not recommended because of the adverse effects they have on your health.

They usually contain steroids etc. which do more harm than good to your body; however, an organic pre-workout supplement does not pose any such harmful effects.

There are quite a few natural alternatives to pre workout supplements that you can choose from.

Here is a list of natural drinks to have before your workout:

Apple Cider is already known to be good for weight loss and digestion, but did you know it makes a good pre-work out drink too because of all the minerals inside it? It contains magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, B1, B2, etc.

All these minerals are great at giving you just the energy boost you need to complete your workout. Just mix the apple cider with cold water, maple syrup (or any other natural sweetener), shake well, and you are ready to go.

Coconut Water: Coconut Water

is another healthy pre-workout supplement because of the large amounts of potassium in it and its isotonic properties. You can have coconut water on your own, or you could couple it with a protein filled algae like

Spirulina not only contains essential proteins but also minerals like magnesium and potassium which are great for energy boosts. Just mix powdered Spirulina with coconut water, and viola.

Wheat Grass Smoothies: Wheat Grass Smoothies

Wheatgrass is rich in protein, magnesium, and potassium. It’s perfect for a pre-workout drink coupled with maybe a few potassium-rich bananas or dates. Blend all the ingredients together, and you have yourself an all-natural protein and potassium-rich smoothie to boost you before and during your workout.

Blueberry smoothie: Blueberry smoothie

Blueberries are not only just ideal for recovery after a workout, but they are also perfect for a pre-workout drink. They are rich in vitamin C and contain a lot of other anti-oxidants that help to keep you energized during your workout.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie:

Strawberries and bananas coupled with yogurt and ice are one of the yummiest and best pre-workout drinks.

The bananas are a good source of potassium and probably the best pre-workout supplement for men, the strawberries are rich in other essential minerals, and the ice and yogurt kept you cool and refreshed for your workout.

All these all-natural pre-workout drinks are pretty amazing. They are easy to make and very refreshing. The best one depends on your tastes and which works out for you best.

If you don’t like the taste of spirulina, then wheat grass smoothie may be the better choice for you. Or if you are lactose intolerant you just may want to stick to the apple cider drink.
